| firebush03 said: Big day for reveals, huh? Switch 2 had a very strong U.S. December 2025 sales report (with Metroid Prime 4: Beyond debuting at 7th for the month *excluding digital sales*). Mario Wonder DLC details dropped, new MarioKart LEGO set revealed, and small updates to three NS2 games (MKWorld with Team Knockout Tours, Pokémon Legends Z-A upped the max number of some crystal things you can carry from 999 to 9,999, and DKBananza got... a Polish translation lol). EDIT— As per estimates given by Welfare on ResetEra, NS2 performed 29% weaker than NS1 when comparing their first U.S. holiday quarters. Given that Switch 1 had a supply bottleneck popped during Holiday 2017 whereas NS2 has been readily available since launch, I'd say these are very solid figures for NS2 overall. That'd point toward around 5.5-6.5mil WW for Q3FY26, well above Nintendo's publicly disclosed projections. Big question is to see how Switch 2 performs in its second year, now that NS1 is no longer hindered/bolstered by supply/demand fluctuations. |
At least Prime 4 is a hit in America.
