A friend and me both discovered this game by chance back then, we had a lot of fun playing it and funny enough we didn't even realize we could use the powerups, we only stayed in the techniques screen, so we beat the majority of the game without upgrading stuff until the very last part of the game, when it was hard as fuck, and we were being destroyed easily, then all of a sudden we now had like triple the HP bar to work with lol.

God Hand is the best PS2 game period. I love Okami and all but I'd be for Okami 2 being canned and getting God Hand 2 instead. Tho I guess we did get Okamiden and while not a sequel to God Hand, has some things about it from God Hand in Anarchy Reigns. 

Seems like Okami is from April 2006 and God Hand from September 2006, going by their NA releases it would be September for Okami and October for God Hand, but then we have Bully in October 2006... so yeah, not even close to being the best game from its month, at least in NA, Bully is one of the best games ever.

Sadly Wikipedia list mostly only consider the NA releases, maybe it was the best game released in September 2006 considering its original JP release date, but that will be hard to check.

It is a good game and a lot of fun, I always liked it and I was surprised most people didn't even know about it considering how fun it is, but it is at least two tiers or so behind the best PS2 games, I would never compare it to Bully, neither Okami, personally.
