So this is easily the best approach anyone has ever taken. They got what they want and only the person everyone despises is any worse for it. Most people are better. I'm not sure if Venezuelans got hurt, I'm sure a few did but still, they are soldiers, that's their duty. No less a marvel. All my life I spent watching the US go into other countries knowing it's to do this job but just lying and failing and keeping the war economy propped up. This is a wonder. I don't understand how people seeing a war and severe loss of life is a bad thing. Will it work twice... hmm. |
The problem some will see is that US will probably try to permanently claim the right to win oil in Venezuela, especially offshore. Cutting of Venezuela and the Venezuelan people from any profits whatsoever. On the other hand claiming Venezuela is resources somehow will do so sees for the US economy, even if it's only the offshore ones.
The US can use it's military to pressure the region enough that they to sign a deal in which they take a lot of losses, basically giving away the resources for free, in exchange for not being bombed. Or sorry being liberated (of life) is the more appropriate way to put it.
The Orinoco heavy oil belt, will be difficult to extract, without fully ruling Venezuela. However subtracting oil, beneath the Lago de Maracaibo will be easier, because its more defendable with warships.
