Good on ya for making a lot of progress last year and getting to a weight you're happy about. Hopefully you manage to maintain it and for me last year wasn't ideal for this since I started 2025 at 83.2 and was intending to lose over 10 that year and reach my final weight goal that being the low 70's but instead I'm now 86.8 so am up YoY cause for a large chunk I was doing poorly with my diet. I feel motivated to make 2026 the year where that happens though so if I can consistently eat well again from this point I should be able to get back to the 70's in just a few months. I've gotten there before a couple times but it didn't last long.

Thanks; all the best with the new year; remember to try to lose it gradually so you don't burn out and crash out. That's happened to me before, I push myself too hard then end up not being able to maintain it. Slow and steady wins the race.

Not sure if this qualifies as "sports" (fitness maybe) but since I have a really bad family history of heart attack/stroke (my Dad and his Dad both died at around 50 from it) I've been working hard to get in better shape this year, and today I got back my blood cholesterol test with "excellent" results, and I'm down 13kg/28 pounds since January and 27kg/60 pounds since 2014 when I was overweight.

Been jogging every day when I can, walking whenever possible, cutting out sugar and eating smaller portions.

Anyone else working on fitness these days?

I am, mate. I was pushing about 218 lbs (around the heaviest I've ever been, and a lot of it is fat), and I've lost about 10 pounds and want to lose more.

I'm moving more on the treadmill and such. My recent labs said my cholesterol is at risk, but not bad enough yet for medication. I need to reduce my cholesterol as well and eat more of a Mediterranean diet.

Wishing you best outcome; some hacks I find helpful are switching to oats over cereal, black coffee, green tea, and keeping each portion a bit smaller. Also, if exercise is hard, just going for walks is a relaxing way to keep your activity up.
