GameCube and XBox are irrelevant. Switch is kicking the PS2's ass after 8 years worth of sales, that's not a small sample size. The only reason this is even a race is because the PS2 needed several extra years which it got because Sony was incompetent and botched the PS3 launch, so PS2 got to sell for extra years at a discounted bargain bin price. If Switch 1 is afforded the same luxury, it would easily pass 160 and probably even 165 million. It's not a matter of whether or not the system can do it or not, it's about whether it will allowed to do it or not. |
Let's not start these petty arguments and trying to discredit. It could easily be said Switch 1 was afforded it's own luxury of not getting a successor for over 8 years and that's the only reason it's sold this much. If PS2 had that it would have done even better too. Going down this tangent is silly.
Let's not discredit any of these systems with rhetoric like this.
