I played Prime 4 on Switch 1, but I have tried out 120fps before on PC. It is noticeably smoother to me, but I worry that if I play too much at 120fps I would lose my ability to enjoy 30/60fps. |
I have found that last statement to be extremely true. I just can't do 30 fps anymore, hurts my eyes. 60 fps works on everything but first-person view, but for first person I can't adjust to anything less than 120 fps. I am sure if I forced it, I could relearn easily enough.
I really like/appreciate Nintendo pushing 60 fps, for their games, as a standard on the S2 versus pushing the graphics further.
I am gaming on a 65 inch OLED, I opted to stick with 1080p/120 fps for Prime 4. The image difference between 1080p and 1440p seem fairly minor, basically a bit more jaggies at 1080p. Essentially, I found the jump in fps to be more meaningful than the resolution bump.
I kind of wish MK World had a 1080p/120fps mode.
