To this day, I think Switch has never been sold at a loss once. I don't think Nintendo needs to at this point since Switch is on the way out. 

They may sell Switch 1 at a loss at the very end just to clear through all the inventory that's left after they stop production. (There's always the chance that they may produce those last few additional million units JUST to pass the PS2 and nothing more. Just to get it over with and move on to 100% Switch 2 production as fast as possible.)

How can Nintendo do this "to pass the PS2" if Sony can always pull one more extra million units for the PS2 sales as Sony have never established a concret number for its sales? Even if Nintendo wanted to do this, it simply can't do it
