As I'm watching this thread go on with a lot of debates, I agree with one of the sentiments I saw that console wars are transforming into ecosystem wars.
Xbox is a part of Microsoft Gaming, and Xbox is going third-party in many ways despite claiming they are making another console (which rumors indicate is more like a Gaming PC).
PlayStation puts most of its recent games on PC, but not day and date. They are even willing to put IPs like Everybody's Golf and Patapon (both now published by Namco) on Switch and PC. And MLB The Show is pretty much a third-party IP now. Funny enough it hasn't ever been on PC.
Nintendo is still almost exclusively following the console model (even with hybrids) with the exception of some free and gacha games on mobile which almost always stay on mobile. I feel Nintendo games on PC is inevitable even if it's 20 years out. I really don't see Nintendo putting games on PlayStation if PlayStation is still in the console business and forget about Xbox.
Apple has its ecosystem, Valve has Steam, Epic Games has their store, etc.
