This is indeed the start of a new 100k stretch for the Switch 2. It's over 15k higher than the equivalent week for the Switch 1 in 2017 which is promising though the big test will be how many weeks above 200k it gets in December since the Switch 1 had two of those one of which was above 300k its first December. And the Switch 2 had 6/10 best selling software last week and 5/10 this week so it's already starting to dominate the top 10 which is impressive though of course it'll be a while till it dominates the top 30.
The Switch 1 is not getting any holiday boost at all so far it seems so it might actually lose to the 3DS's 2017 one in Japan and the PS5 has an extremely low week but that's fine since a way cheaper new model is about to release so its last few weeks of the year could be good and it means Japan sales in general will get notably more interesting for at least a bit starting next week. Also Japan isn't really into COD but man that opening for BO7 sure is something. The PS5 one is less than half of BO6's PS5 opening so it selling less than half of its predecessor at launch is the trend so far.
