What Sony makes from the mobile versions of Destiny and Horizon will most certainly be less than what they make from MTX on their own developed/ published versions. Live service titles are costly endeavours. The issue isn't whether one project overshadows another per se, it's whether cannibalising one another results in financial shortcomings for either or both.
Firewalk Studios is dead from the poor reception of Concord. London Studio didn't have anything but 1 piece of artwork for their live service before they were closed. There's concerns about Haven studio, etc.
Is NcSoft willing to develop and maintain a PS5 version of their game if they can't get a big enough audience to make it financially viable? Does Sony want this scenario to happen to their own Horizon release? I don't think so. While it may seem viable, it's also very easily results in loss of money and, more importantly, jobs.
I don't think it makes a lot of sense to pursue unnecessary competition between one's own IP in the live service space. I get the want to have all PS IP to be available on PS hardware, but that ship sailed 23 years ago with an Arc the Lad 3 sequel/ spin-off on the Wonderswan Colour.
That said, I think the Ratchet mobile MP title makes sense to bring to PS5: it's published by Sony and there's no other Ratchet MP title.
