I don't see how this is fundamentally any different from other facts/misinformation, so for the most part, it should probably not be moderated. If it's clear that the person in question knows (and I mean knows, just not 'should know') he's spreading misinformation, then moderation might be in order, but generally, this sounds like something that's not worth moderating and might in fact be detrimental to discussion if moderated.
