Thanks, everyone, for sharing all these Metroid histories. For a series that has a hard time eclipsing the 3 million unit barrier we’re lucky to all have had such varied experiences with the franchise.
I’m still always going to wonder what the Bandai version of Prime 4 was going to look like but I’m definitely happy that Nintendo handed the reins over to Retro once more. It’s going to be a great opportunity for them to reestablish themselves as a premier Nintendo developer. It’s hard to believe that an entire console generation passed with so many of us waiting for this game. That certainly will be the historical legacy of this title and probably a big reason why we won’t end up getting reveals of games “In Development” from Nintendo any time soon. Great job, Samus! You’re helping make the gaming galaxy better all the time.
