In all? I’d say Astro’s Rescue Mission is not just one of the greatest platformers I’ve ever played, it is among the greatest games I’ve ever played easily. Not only is it visual eye-candy, and not only does it accomplish in VR what Mario did in 3D, but it does so with flying colors. I am blown away! Much more impressed than I was with Astro Bot (2024), which felt like a lesser version of 3D Mario. Rescue Mission is innovative, it can actually be quite challenging at times, and it bustling with idea after idea.

I am stunned this only has an 89MC. This deserves so much more acclaim than it gets.

89 was Opencritic, it got 90 on Metacritic.

Those scores are really high, not as high as Astro Bot, sure, but still really high.
