RDR2 may have had delays like this but the trailers didn't look this generic and safe, with what I've seen of GTA 6, it just seems like it's gonna be a disappointment. I'd reckon Ghost of Yotei factored into this decision in some way shape or form. |
This was my first thought when they first delayed it. I remember the headlines saying GTAVI was going to be more tame and mainstream. Didn't make any sense for a GTA game other than due to the political and cultural climate at that time. Now that things are shifting, it makes perfect sense that they'd go back to the drawing board and make changes so it's more like what you would expect from a typical GTA game. I also agree that Rockstar has likely been paying attention to what's been selling well and what hasn't over the last few years, and they've realized the new direction for GTAVI was a mistake and are taking the time to correct course. Luckily for them, they have that luxury.

PS5 - ^ -We must build a console that’s a generational cross product, with RT lighting, and price hiking.
PRO -&- We must build a console that Super Res upscales and continues the cost increases.
