It's not good that Astro has less personality than the little cosplaying bots he saves. He's cute and all, but he doesn't stand out in his own game. All bots are each other's copies. I don't think Astro himself needs personality beyond being cute and fun to play but I agree, they need to start some sort of world building, memorable enemies, characters and carve an identity beyond paying homage to other games.
