Where was the 3rd base runner for the Jays on that final hit? I cant find a decent camera angle but it looks like the runner didn't even bother trying for home plate.
Why would you wait on 3rd and potentially allow another double play again by the Dodgers to end the game again like in game 6, this time game 7 do or die?
Worst case it gets thrown to home plate and you're out but you still have a shot because you've got 1 more out left, plus you now got runners on 1st and 2nd.
The Jays made so many bonehead mistakes like this. Just like at the end of game 6. Why would the Jays runner on 2nd, run for 3rd on a pop to the outfield like that?
As good as the Dodgers were, they're lucky Toronto wasn't smarter and more disciplined. Then again, the Jays were just lucky late season and all playoffs long.
