Not to mention that their commander-in-chief is a morbidly obese draft-dodger with no real respect for the integrity or traditions of the military. Trump is really banking heavily on the loyalty of enlisted persennel and officers up to O-6 (colonels and Navy captains).

They're also going to end restrictions on hazing and are going to make it more difficult for women to report sexual assault, so they really want a bunch of brutal thugs in the enlisted ranks, and to discourage women from joining the military. The military is heading towards the near-collapse it experienced in the 1960s.

Well, the conservatives want a throwback to past, they get one - but probably not exactly the one they were expecting...
