For me, just rogue-like is the issue. Variables are great but ultimately I want really well scripted level design and progression. I gave up on Returnal because it felt like Random rooms with enemy encounters at a certain point. Ultimately I know I want a different game from what they want to make but I'm hoping to be surprised.
