I mean, the controversies have been real allright, all of the topics have been proven and have caused a lot of bad blood between the fans and Nintendo. The controversies having a much smaller impact than I expected is another thing altogether. And while they haven't impacted Nintendo's bottom line directly, they are indeed affecting the Switch 2 in other ways (the key cards are making physical 3rd party sales way worse than they'd had been, for example). I'm not saying I expected the Switch 2 to flop, but to sell even more than the original despite all these new problems is something I didn't expect.

How exactly do you know these people are fans and what exactly is your proof that key cards are making 3rd party sales way worse?

That's the point, you can't actually back any of this up besides pointing to troll comments on YouTube and the internet. People are allowed to be disappointed with consumer products that doesnt make it controversial or else everything would be considered controversial because every product has things people dont like.

We hardly have any data for sales and somehow you know these games underperformed/sold way less?

So yes these controversies are all in your head and the market at large has no clue ie these controversies are not real at all and the reason why you are confused.
