First off, I don’t think this is a “make it or break it” holiday for Switch 2. I think there could be a drought and Switch 2 would still have a great holiday as the Switch 1 install base continues to migrate to the platform.
Which is partly why I’m just really happy that Metroid Prime 4 is getting a holiday window release. It’s one of the big titles for Nintendo at the end of the year and it’s going to get a lot of eyes on it. While it may not be “make it or break it” for the Switch 2, it is absolutely that for Metroid Prime. I need to see it hit at least 4 million and preferably 5 million and I think it’s positioned to do so, assuming it reviews in the low 90s.
