| Signalstar said: My guess is that COD, being a yearly series, is on a very tight production schedule across multiple dev teams spanning the globe. I think the games are planned three to four years in advance and that it was too disruptive to add Switch 2 to their plans at whatever stage of development they happened to be for Black Ops 7. Hopefully COD will make it onto Switch 2 next year. |
I think the lack of dev kits also played a part. Since COD is worked on by thousands of developers they probably need a lot of dev kits which Nintendo could not provide. I do think BO7 will release on Switch 2 early next year and will get next years COD day one. With rumors that BO7 will be the final COD game on PS4/Xbox One I think they'll have more time to get COD on Switch 2 (although I'm sure Microsoft is making them have COD run well on the ASUS ROG, and the possibility of their next gen system launching next year).
In any case considering how big COD is I'm shocked Nintendo didn't try to get BO7 day one with other platforms.
