I am in favor of creating a new thread about Charlie Kirk's death and his shooter. A lot of the people who commented in the previous thread probably don't know that the discussion has shifted to the main US politics thread, plus the original Kirk thread obviously had the loose end of the who the shooter was and who is to blame. The original thread went bad because too many people jumped to conclusions, also because the thread title itself was misleading by describing Kirk as a conservative activist, so right-leaning VGC members who didn't know Kirk were inclined to believe that Kirk had reasonable views and therefore was one of them.

This is such a weird take....most people's frustrations from what I would consider non left leaning members, was about the reaction of forum members/internet sentiment to the killing. Sure you get the crazy outliers on either side, openly celebrating his murder or randomly blaming leftists for the murder itself, but those are outliers.

I am in favor of reopening the thread, i mean hey at least we have a non-leftist murderer we can all blame. Should be fine.
