no disrespect to you ryuu, but if any of these things above were said by any user on this site, theyd be summarily banned, probably permanently. id put forth to those of you who feel its fine to disrespectful to him here on this forum after what him and his family just went through is to not stoop down to this level. if you think charlie kirk is pedaling darkness it cannot be fought with more darkness. darkness can only be overcome by light. thats just my two cents. it has been really disheartening for me to see so much of this sentiment everywhere. im not going to argue about any of the things that he said because honestly it doesnt matter and it isnt about that right now. the man bled out from his neck on stage in front of his wife and kids and millions of people. i just feel like people have lost their humanity. thats really what it feels like. i already know what youre going to say, go for it im ready.

If any of what things above were said by any user on this site? Provide examples, I can't read your mind, there are multiple comments above, Lol.

It's fine to call out that Kirk was a bigot, he'll still be dead next week, the week after, etc. His family will still be grieving, there is no "right" time to criticism someone by this logic, therefore you never end up criticising someone. Nobody is breaking any rules by pointing out Kirk's bigoted stances. If Putin had his head blown off tomorrow, I ain't going to police people for pointing out that he was a horrible monster because Putin has a family, Lol. Now of course, Kirk isn't anywhere close to Putin level of evilness, but he is still a bigot deserving of criticism.

im sorry, when i said above, i was mentioning all the comments you posted that were by kirk.

and yes, i understand, you arent going to mod people for attacking his character. in my opinion its a moral failing to do something like that at a time like this, but it isnt something thats actionable in terms of a moderation and i accept that.

when it comes to modding, i am specifically talking about not allowing comments that imply or even in some cases outright say that "he had it coming." to me thats got to be crossing a clear line, because it directly implies that murder is a justified consequence of political speech that you dont like. doesnt that make sense?
