I live in Michigan in the United States. My favorite thing about the midwest is all the cool restaurants, bars, sporting events, and activities to do (hunting, hiking, fishing). It's also a relatively cheap place to live outside the American south.
The thing I don't like is the population density. Everyone says Michigan is losing population, and it is, but everyone has a car and nobody carpools like in the 60s and 70s. So while we have 5 million less people than those days, more people are driving than ever. Drivers out here are the fucking worst. Worse than Chicago and even New York. Drives me crazy. PUN INTENDED lol
