Agreed but when I said console and the S2 are doing soft RT I was challenged on that.  And even on low RT the 4090 takes a hit.  The S2 will take a hit with any meaningful RT, zero debate on this one.

S2 ray tracing will be basic compared to a PC, absolutely, don't get me wrong.

It can be still be an improvement over 8th gen at the same time though.

This is one of those things where we're gonna have to wait a while and see what developers do with it; thus far we have precious few examples of Switch 2 games period, much less ones pushing specific kinds of rendering.

It would be interesting to see Nintendo have a crack at RT in a first party exclusive for instance, but given they tend to shy away from pushing fancy tech I'm not holding my breath.

Given Nintendo's art style in most games, I'm expecting Nintendo will use NS2's RT capabilities (as low as they are) quite successfully for some visuals aspects - they are not mad to go full RT and I think, just like Sony did with Ratchet and Clank, they will leverage tried and true "old" techniques with some RT sprinkled in where it matters the most.
