Just Finished: Jeanne D'Arc (PS5)

I actually own this game on PSP and had been meaning to play it for a long time. I find the story of Joan of Arc fascinating. I was happy to finally play this game on PS5. It lived up to its reputation. Developed by Level 5, this is a strategy RPG in the vein of Fire Emblem. The story revolves around Joan of Arc but quickly deviates from history and delves into fantasy. The strategy gameplay is deep and satisfying. The campaign took me more than 30 hours to beat. The game can be quite challenging as well. The production values are mixed, the anime styled cutscenes are rather sparse but gorgeous whenever they appear. Some of the mechanics are frustrating and the story goes off the rails with a lot of twists and turns. With a few more hours of commitment and a little luck i may be able to platinum this game. A hidden gem from PlayStation. Got me excited to play other SRPGs in the future.
