Didn't ever care about Halo or Killzone, but the guys that made Halo getting to work with Killzone should be good.

I'm always a little hesitant to hand off a dormant IP to a studio that does not want it. Its a completely different story if Bungie wants to do it though. 

Pretty sure they are not, because they wanted to stay independant, so working on someone's else IP probably wasn't ever in their plans.

That being said, if Destiny is dying and Marathon is born dead, why not?

Killzone is an in-house IP (Sony) that is likely not getting new games as Guerilla moved to a way more succesful franchise, so they have decent interest head start, can keep making games similar with what they are used to work with, and get back on their feet and later pitch another new IP in the future.
