But the whole case is so politically tainted at this point that nothing she says can be trusted. I totally agree, letting her walk would probably be one of the biggest mistake this administration could make but I also feel that they believe they can do no wrong. This is Trump last term and he has been very successful in pretty much getting his base to go along and get into line with anything he wants so usually that type of hubris breeds overconfidence. This administration believe they can set the narrative however they feel so the chance is still up their they go with that plan.
Just think about it, she could name Bill Clinton and some other top Dems or Trump hate list and that would serve a lot for his base that already believe the list contains nothing but Dems on it to begin with. You only need to give them enough meat to satisfy their craving at least that is what I believe this administration believes.
