Its the same reason why we see it on the other consoles when a new platform releases. Its a new game on a new console and the appeal of Pokemon is in the creatures and nothing else. The other stuff people mention will never be a detriment/hinderence. The bundle will lead to this as well and some how people have forgotten that Pokemon is Nintendo's biggest opener, so this notion of people will not show up day one in droves because its "casual" doesn't fit. Switch 2 will be the biggest beneficiary because of all of this.

Let's Go sold 3 million units with a system 1 and half year old that already have sold over 23 million units. Arceus sold 6.5 million units in a week, because the userbase was bigger

Switch 2 userbase during Pokemon launch will be closer to 10 million. Even if every Pokemon fan wanted to get it on Switch they literally couldn't because of lack of stock

Switch 2 is facing an uphill battle here. The only way for Switch 2 version sells more is either this games flops, or people withhold of buying the game now to get Switch 2 version later, something Pokemon fans usually don't (they usually buy at launch)

Switch 1 version will outsell 2 version on at least 2:1 at launch (expect another 6 million+ launch here)

Legends ZA might have longer legs on Switch 2 for the year of 2026, but I'm sure a mainline title is coming next year. This will cut Legends legs for good

Let's Go was a remake and underperformed in Japan. This is a new Legends game, so Pokemon fans are hyped for the new megas. I do think the bundle will play a major role in shifting Pokemon fans into the jump because it will be like a second launch for Switch 2 since it starts the holiday season. We will see. Im also not too sure on next gen being ready next year. I hate to say it.
