The last I knew about Ashhong was when they showed excitement about how people will react when the game is finally revealed.
Welp, I was part of the people who thought for years that Santa Monica next game was scifi, Barlog fooled me completely LOL but I'm happy it isn't because with Intergalactic, SAROS and Horizon we have enough scifi in the works.
Ok so Santa Monica and Barlog are re-imagining another Sony IP, that's way more interesting. Time for the speculations to begin but I have none lol, I'll have to wait. |
I recall there being chatter when Intergalatic was announced that perhaps insiders had mixed up what Druckmann and Barlog were working on. I'm all for anything from Barlog at this point. Hope it's good. BraLoD said:

2 different projects. Barlog working on a scifi has been going around for some years now because of tweets etc that seemed to hint he was leaning into scifi. Not sure if there was anything else about it. BraLoD said:

Could be any IP. New speculation (not rumour) is that he's doing the Atreus God of War game. But at this point, no idea what he's working except that isn't sci-fi and it's not a new IP. |

It's definitely more believable than Santa Monica working on someone's else IP but kinda boring as well, why make 2 GoW teams and not something else...
Santa Monica was deeply involved with The Order, right? But I remember there being talk about nothing about that IP being worked atm some time ago. It would be wild if they were the ones to bring Jak back too, since Naughty Dog is clearly never touching it anymore.
