The press steers the story toward a scapegoat. And then when she’s on the slap with the sacrificial dagger. There isn’t a cleanup of the guilty. But because of the sacrificial blood, all the party cultists contract amnesia!
You can go back through a lot of these scandals, and it’s usually the same thing over and over again. The only time I recall a mass cleanup was the 2017 stuff, and even that ran into speed bumps when the movement became diluted and corrupted with stuff like the Aziz thing… it really shouldn’t have, they should have condemned that, but kept pushing on cleaning out all industries… including governments
