I once faced a potential rainstorm to purchase an CD-ROM with a PS1 emulator.
Back in 2007, I got my first PC. No internet, just flash games from CDs. Then I found out about an magazine that came with an PS1 emulator at a magazine stand that was like 20 minutes on foot from my home. Me, with one of my friends, were planning to purchase that magazine (It had Crash Bandicoot and Yuna at the cover) to get the emulator and play PS1 games on my PC. It was a dream coming true.
But that day, the sky was pitch black at 4:30 pm. My mom was worried because it could be too dangerous to face a possible storm just to get that magazine. But the Playstation emulator spoke louder, and we went. Halfway through, I was beginning to get scared: The wind began, and a few raindrops were starting to fall. We reached the magazine stand, I purchaed the thing, and believe it or not, my friend asked me to go with him to another store to purchase something. I refused, because at that point I was ALMOST regretting the risk.
I rushed back to my home, and the rainstorm finally started. I remember after dinner, my friend went to my home and we finally installed the PS1 Emu. It was a very special day, and I have it recorded in my heart.
