Anyway, I honestly don't know why I didn't expect it but after completing my first course in MK World, I had the prompt for Free Roam mode in the bottom corner of the screen. Thought it would redirect me to another menu but no, it simply let me take control of the character auto-running in the background instantly. 

Got kinda mind blown there. Transition being so insanely smooth !

Yeah the faster load times and transitions in Switch 2 games are definitely a nice upgrade over Switch 1. Fast Fusion is almost cartridge-fast while Mario Kart World loads into cups in a few seconds.

Even Cyberpunk with its complex world loads relatively briefly, whereas Witcher 3 on Switch 1 in comparison could take over a minute to load into a save or when fast traveling.
