Playing with friends makes it a ton more fun. Also, have you tried for triple starring the gold trophies in the 150 cups. You start to realize just how precise you need to be. And 200 cc is insane. But there are plenty of games that aren’t for everyone. I was never a fan of MK until MK8, and then it clicked. |
I started to get gold trophies in every cup in 150, but quickly lost motivation
I believe the issue is I don't feel the skill mattering much in this game. When I play I game like this I expect to have a perception I'm getting better. I simply feel MK to be too... RNG based I guess? As if the RNG is what to define when I win and when I lose the track
The game doesn't really give me a feedback in what I need to do to be more precise/skilled, since it's extremely forgiving I don't know when I'm playing optimally and when I'm playing suboptimally (always have the impression I'm at #1 when I'm lucky, and #2 or #3 when unlucky)
It's totally different from something like Crash Team Racing, when it's pretty clear when I'm having a good race and when I'm playing like shit, I know exactly what I need to do to get better in each track
There are some tracks where the feedback is much clearer though. There is one rainbown race where it's pretty obvious I need better control when slowing down and sliding. It's one of the hardest tracks in the game and is exactly one I'm able to consistently gets #1 because I slowly learned from my mistakes on how to play better instead of justing praying for good items haha
