I personally think platforms are all going multi-form factor.
Nintendo is already there within a closed system (Switch & Switch Lite were two form factors.)
Microsoft is following with Game Pass and the fact that they seem to be moving away from fully closed systems towards maximizing subs.
Sony probably will follow Microsoft.
I'd be surprised if we see consoles as fully closed-platform devices in 2035. You might have a box under your TV that has the "Playstation" or "Xbox" name on it, but it probably will be one among many different devices within a family.
