The port job likely wasn't THAT expensive to begin with since it is based on the current gen versions. 

Also considering the news and how the game charts pretty well high on the eshop during sales(like currently, it's at 18 bucks on the Eshop, meaning you can get the whole offering for 28$ !). It is to expected they will likely break over the budget easily.

Oh, I wasn't talking about the efforts behind the port. The obviously ditched the Switch version and scaled down the current gen one.

It's more like... The perception. HL from Switch to Switch 2 is such a massive change that you would think the publisher would feel cocky enough to charge full price for Switch 1 player. It's a welcome surprise that they are doing the most consumer friendly approach xD
