He could be the compromise Pope, a plain old boring moderate, it doesn't seem there's much excitement about him but not much outright anger either. Maybe they picked an American though to combat some of the American Catholicism bullshit happening lately. The biggest thing for me is if his homophobic views and misogynist views have changed.

Looks like the new Holy Father isn't a fan of JD Vance.

The new Pope didn't tweet once in 2024. In 2025, he's posted 5 times, in which he:

- Criticized JD Vance's views on Catholicism and Jesus
- Posted an article opposing Trump's immigration policies
- Retweeted twice about the Pope's health
- Retweeted a criticism of Trump & Bukele's laughter at KAG.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan, a right-wing Trump supporter, apparently tried to raise money to elect the "right" pope (read: buy the papacy for Trump). I'll bet he's throwing ketchup bottles in his holy apartment right now.
