They voted for Trump because they wanted him to harm people they dislike, but ONLY people they dislike. That's absolutely reprehensible thinking.

Seems to me like a lot of people among the so-called independent voters were aware of how much shit Trump does, but their own stupidity led them to cherry-picking the few parts they liked while pretending that the rest of the package is merely the hyperbole of a political campaign. Hence all of this "I didn't vote for this" when they should really recognize that they made a conscious effort to lie to themselves. Trump didn't even try much to trick people into voting for him, because he was quite open about the insanities he was going to commit.

On a related note, most people who vote for a far-right party would not consider themselves far-right, this holds true in any given country. There's something going on in the human mind that oneself cannot possibly be the bad guy. Of course there are legit far-right people in any given country too, but any far-right political party needs stupid people to vote for them in order to get into power. The USA just so happens to have a higher percentage of stupid people, hence why it's so common to see Americans vote against their own interests and give power to people who couldn't care less about them.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.
