Key word is understands.

MAGA, and other 'MAGA types', understand what Trumps trying to do. They understand what he's likely capable of and what he's not. They understand how likely, or unlikely, this is to succeed. And no, what MAGA says, and what they really think, are not always the exact same thing. MAGA likes to overdo it at times, and often because they're actually trolling.

The plan (yes, there has always been a general plan) was always going to be very difficult to implement, sustain, and follow through with, but not doing so was going to lead to a worse future for America, which is why it's seen by those who understand, like MAGA, as worth it.

Here's just a small explanation of a portion of the plan.

You don't understand why Trumps hurting the stock market now, while in his last term that seemed to be all he cared about. Now just imagine what would've happened in his first 100 days, in his first term, if he implemented then, what he's implementing now. Just imagine what that would've done to the stock market along with the rest of America back then. Now take into consideration the Dem and MSM Russia hoax timing, and the narrative that Trump was going to destroy America and the West (because he's a Russian asset, apparently). It's almost like the Dems knew what Trump was planning, and didn't want it to happen... Problem is while they were right, in terms of America going through some pains due to an economic change (as well as other changes), they were lying about Russia ties and were wrong on their timing. Trump was never going to do back then, what he's doing now, because America wouldn't have been able to sustain and live with it. So in that case, you build up the economy, markets, etc, as much as possible during your first term, and then bring the pain now in his second term. It's the only way this part of the plan could possibly be accomplished.

The world was always going to fight like hell against this, because not only would it mean a shift of less good for them, and more good for America (based on a certain type of global mindset anyway), but would force them to try and create new relationships and trade deals in the long term with others, or build up their own economies, to try and get back what they 'lost' to the USA. A major headache that Governments worldwide just wouldn't want to deal with.

Trumps being aggressive and kind of a dick to the world because it's causing other Countries to show their true colors. I've spoken to a few American friends about this, and I've seen plenty of Americans say the same thing in internet forums and social media, that they didn't realize how much Canadians as well as the rest of the world didn't actually like them, and they're obviously not pleased about that. Nobody who knows anything in Canada really thought Trump meant he was going to annex us. 'Elbows up' was a great campaign phrase for the Canadian Libs to help win the election, but long term politically for Canada's relationship with the USA, was really stupid. Trumps creating resilience within the American people by showing them that the rest of the world is mostly being politically correct and doesn't really like or respect the USA, and Americans in general are seeing that and don't like that. In order for this part of the plan to work, Americans have to be more resilient, united, and nationalistic, and it looks to be working, so far.

Would you like it if your country is getting called just a province or state of another country, or if your country or region gets repeatedly insulted by the government of a country?

No? Well, guess why most people now don't like the US anymore: It's because Trump's repeated annexation talks of Canada, Panama and Greenland, him constantly breaking international rules, treaties and agreements while openly insulting and even backstabbing leaders of other countries and regions and laughing about all of it.

In short, Trump managed to royally piss off everyone and everybody in record time, and according to you MAGA is now making a surprised Pikachu face because they believe that they always felt bad about the US instead of being caused by Trump?

Ask yourself this: If your best friend suddenly would turn out to be a massive bully, insulting and cursing everybody left, right and center including yourself, backstabbing you and then threatening your friends with violence, would you really like to stay besties with such a person?

I typically couldn't care less because I'm not a snowflake and baseless insults are just that. However, Canada's gotten embarrassingly weak, yet acts like everything's great, so it doesn't surprise me it's getting what Trumps throwing down. It's caused a bunch of things to come to light in this Country which actually were shocking to everyone, that are being discussed and worked on now because of Trump, like the lack of interprovincial trade barriers, for one.

The "surprised Pikachu face" enough Canadians made when Trump started his trolling, wasn't a shock to Conservative Canadians, and neither was the nonsense 'elbows up' response by them to America. Plain stupidity, all of it, including our election results, yet again, not entirely surprising. Half the Country thinks they just saved themselves from being annexed by America, where if anything, they've pushed us closer to something like that.

Caused by Trump? He's not the one taking advantage of America, and it's his job to take care of America and see they get a fair shake. It would be one thing for those focusing their anger directly and only at Trump, wrong still, but there's plenty of hate going towards America in general, beyond just business and trade, and MAGA clearly see's this and yes, obviously isn't impressed, is insulted, and doesn't see the rest of the world the same. All the more reason to focus on building up America within America, where it makes sense.

If I was screwing my friend over, taking advantage of them, etc, then yes, I'd likely understand why they finally let loose and said what needed to be said. Harder to say how I would react then, trying to get out of the hole I'd dug for myself, but maybe I'd try a Pikachu face and excuses, like blaming my friend for everything bad that's ever happened. Not an easy question to answer since I'm not like that.
