It's not that. If Nintendo says the price is because of the tariffs, then they'd have to change the prices if those tariffs go down. If they say the tariffs are not responsible, then they are free to keep the high prices even if the tariffs get reduced or disappear eventually.
My opinion is that they are taking advantage of the tariffs to increase the price, while saying at the same time they aren't responsible for it, so they can keep the prices high even when the tariffs are gone.
