I used to play RE2 and RE3 with a friend as a kid on my PS1, and also on his PC later on. We loved it, we had zero understanding about english and were like 8 and 9 years old at first, so figuring out shit was great, and it was scary.

Then he got a PS2 and when RE4 released he got it as a gift and good God that was one of the best shit we ever touched.

It took me too long to get a PS2, I played on his until like 2010, by the time he already had a PS3, but I don't remember why he did not get RE5 there, but on PC, so we played it there, and it was a lot of fun, eventually he also got if on PS3 and we played it there too.

When RE6 was about to get released we both got really hyped and made some marathons playing from 2 to 5 on my PS1 and PS2 and his PS3.
We played RE6 on release day, it was one of the very few times I played a game on the same day it came out, and boy... what a mixed bag.

I still remember we trying to figure out the game, we got really excited during Leon campaign because it felt like it was going to be like 2, but it eventually felt so short and strange, we realised the game was all about getting to see different stories crossing ways and painting a bigger picture, which we felt like was a great idea, but by Cris part it already felt like we were playing different games.

When we finally got to Jake part the excitement was gone, there was curiosity but it really dragged on.

I love Ada but her part was not great either.

We still done everything the game had, got the platinum, did all challenges, but it really didn't feel great like the other games.

RE5 doesn't feel like RE at all but it was a lot of fun to play, we never got bored of it.

I think if RE6 was in Leon campaing style only it could be great, but it feels like it tries to much and loses itself in the way.
