Nice video, thanks for the link. This aligns with my earlier point that the launch strategy targets the upmarket segment, driven by the higher perceived value of things and the limited console supply at launch. Later on they have to address the broader market, following the "typical" console lifecycle of decreasing prices... which we have not seen this past gen (with consistent or even increasing prices).
A new generation launch windows generally comes with premium prices due to limited availability, which also fuels scalping.
