I think it's great to see how Sony and Nintendo are supporting eachother. Sony showed Nintendo there is a market for 500 euro consoles and payed upgrades. Also Don't took iniative by raising prices during the gen. Something Nintendo can also use down the line.
Nintendo is helping Sony to sell their games at € 80 and asking a msrp premium for physical media. Nintendo is also trying uncharted waters by asking for a fee for better framerates and resolution on old gen games on the new much more powerful system. This is something that is easily patchable. They are kindly showing that boost mode is wasting moneymaking potential.
Console peace is much better than console wars, except for your wallet.
