It is notable that the Switch 2 will benefit from mainline Pokemon sooner than any previous Nintendo system though. Gold and Silver were 1-2 years after the launch of the GBC depending on region and BW2 could be played on the 3DS but there wasn't really a benefit from doing that.

I still think both will have considerable selling power on Switch 2 in spite of being crossgen; not as much as if they were exclusive, but still, the kind of gamers who are interested in Prime 4 will want to play it in the best quality, while Pokémon without awful performance has been a dream for series fans for years now.

Crossgen games have been major sellers before, with titles like God of War Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West on PS5, or Titanfall, Destiny, Battlefield 4, MGS5 etc during the 7th/8th gen shift.

I agree that Legends Z-A will still have significant selling for the Switch 2 though not so much for Prime 4 though that's mostly due the Metroid series being on the niche side. There's also that the marketing for it has not exactly been great so far so hopefully that improves soon since the series needs as many newcomers buying this game as possible considering how long it's taken to make.
