I think you'e confused over the definition of critical thinking.
I didn't prompt it for an opinion on how I should think about XYZ, I asked it to scrape the internet for info about the chip in the dock. Using AI to search for information is not abdicating critical thinking.
If you think I'm the only one on here using ChatGPT or it's ilk as a better google then you're delusional.
And if you think I'm bothered about some snooty rando on a games forum blocking me I don't know what to tell you...
I'm a designer so may not have a trade in 5 years due to AI, but I can't deny that it has it's uses & we're not putting the genie back in the bottle.
I think it also says volumes that you've not responded to the substance of my point (neither the initial 'AI-assisted' initial post or the 'human-powered' follow-up).
Your assertion is that because the dock has a chip that it can't be under $10 to produce.
An NFC sticker contains a chip... A greeting card can contain a chip...
Either show evidence that the dock's chip cost is high enough to render a $10 dock cost impossible (if you can I'll change my position) & stop obfuscating with AI-bad puritanism or block me like a big-man, I honestly couldn't give a shit.
