Well we definitely need Diddy Kong to get some kind of love somewhere. Maybe a spinoff game a bit less smashy lol 

Diddy, Dixie, and others. We should even see what it'd be like to have Candy Kong playable, but other than sex appeal I don't know what'd make playing as her unique. Maybe fighting through break dancing?
