Switch 2 is going a little bit beyond that I'd say. We kind of already knew they would be able to get Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch 2 after Witcher 3 managed to run on Switch. But now the quality is actually better than people probably imagined. It's not PS5/XSX quality, or even close in terms of performance, but the texture quality and room for improvement with DLSS means third party ports will be more comparable across the board now.

It's to say Switch 2 ports may only look half a generation behind instead of looking a full generation behind (comparing Switch to PS4/XB1).

Oh we knew Cyberpunk would be technically possible at some level, (it runs on Xbox One S after all, albeit horribly) yeah, the quality of the port is just better than many expected.

I would disagree about Switch being a full gen behind PS4/XBO, it wasn't quite as it was still significantly above PS3/360. The gap between Switch 2 and PS5/Xbox Series is smaller though, yes.
