Hm, interesting.

If true, Nintendo's reasoning for this would be that the purchase of a Switch 2 Edition still gives you the choice of playing the game on Switch 1 if you want. Plus it's also cheaper to manufacture.

Still, I'd prefer to have the whole game including the upgrade pack on the game card even if it meant that I couldn't use the game card in a Switch 1.
