I'm not talking about Just resolution, i'm talking texture, materiais, particles...

Killzone shadowfall is very boring, but sure as hell looks better than this

They have somewhat different art-directions, but I am not seeing the better "texture, materials, particles" in Killzone Shadowfall over the Switch 2 version of Prime 4 here.

Like the ground and rock textures/materials in Prime 4 are obviously higher resolution. Mesh density looks to be on the same order of magnitude, draw distances are comparable if not slightly in MP4's favor, and I don't know which "particles" you were thinking of in Killzone Shadowfall that impressed you.

Nothing in Killzone says "looks way better" to me. The games look comparable in most ways, and in MP4's favor in those ways where they drastically differ. But Killzone was a launch game, and I think you could've picked better base PS4/XBO examples, if I were to steel-man your position. Although most of the games that come to mind tend to have a very different art-style from Prime 4 (where as Killzone is at least in the same ballpark at least.)

Rock texture example

vs.

You really think the bottom (Killzone's) rock texture is higher resolution than the top (Metroid Prime 4's?)

Yeah, top texture is better.

I know it's probably not likely to happen, depending on if this is before or after Super Metroid, but does anyone think Ridley will be in Prime 4?
