The game itself looks basically like Odyssey 2 they just opted to make Donkey Kong the main character this time instead of Mario. Again makes sense, people don't understand giving DK his own theme park area is a huge, huge deal for Nintendo (possibly his own movie at some point?). They were always gonna do something big with the Donkey Kong IP after that, I thought maybe the next Mario 3D game might have DK playable in it, but looks like they went with DK in his own game. Obviously Mario will get his own.
